Disneyland Resort, Paris, France
Disneyland Resort Paris is the best known amusement park in Europe. It is operating since 1992 and comprises two theme parks, entertainment and dining district and seven hotels. For their Twilight Zone Tower of Terror it is better to skip your breakfast. It is a drop tower thrill ride with the setting of the Hollywood Tower Hotel that was struck by lightning on 31st October 1939. The Tower of Terror is 199 feet high. You will definitely enjoy this attraction. If you are looking for amusement the Disneyland Resort Paris is the right choice for you and your kids!

Siam Park, Tenerife
Siam Park is a water park on Tenerife (Spain) and the theme of this park is Thailand. It opened in May 2007 and offers its visitors numerous water attractions such as the Tower of Power, which is a vertical transparent slide, where you have to climb 235 steps to reach its top. It drops you then in the alligator pool and the volcano of laser. Wave Palace is a pool with white sand beach. The artificial three meters high waves will splash you all over! There are of course attractions for children such as the Lost City which is a structure of 120 games! So if you like water and want some amusement visit Siam Park on Tenerife!

Walibi, Belgium

Walibi theme park is located in Wavre. Walibi Park is nothing for people who love their hairdo neatly set! Roller coaster ride will raise your hair in a few seconds. There are many roller coasters whose names make you shiver with fear. Turbine, Calamity Mine, Cobra, Vampire or Werewolf, but you shouldn’t resist them… Werewolf is a wooden roller coaster that will take your breath away. Dalton’s Terror on the other hand will let you fall 77 meters quite freely. And there is much more. Looking for adventure? Walibi Park is the choice number one!

Europa Park, Germany
Europa Park is located in Rust, south-west Germany. Its mascot is a big grey Mouse called Euromaus, so no wonder that Wild Mouse roller is the most visited attraction. The themes are naturally European countries, so there is a part called Italy, Scandinavia, Spain, Russia etc. Europa Park also contains four hotels and a guest house. If you have nothing to do at the weekend visit Europa Park!

Legoland, Denmark
No need to introduce Legoland – the Lego paradise in Denmark. The theme is based on historical events so you can watch Pirate Lagoon with foam and waterfalls, and pirate battles. Pirate Waterfalls Playground will give your children the opportunity to become pirates and captains.

Mardan Palace Opens With A Flourish

ISTANBUL – Richard Gere was there, so too was Tom Jones, singing about the Green Green Grass of Home. Sharon Stone made an appearance alongside Mariah Carey, Monica Bellucci and the president of Kazakhstan. The occasion was the opening party for the opulent Mardan Palace resort in the Turkish Riviera town of Antalya, where the host was the enormously rich Russian businessman Telman Ismailov.

The Mardan Palace Hotel is destined to rank alongside the Burj al Arab in Dubai and the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi as one of the world’s most lavish hotels. It already claims to be Europe’s most expensive hotel at US$1.5 billion.

Its architecture reflects distinctive landmarks of Istanbul - the main hotel resembles The Dolmabahce Palace and bridges across the pool are based on original designs of the Da Vinci Bridge.

Gondolas sail guests around the world’s second largest swimming pool, and five floor-to-ceiling aquariums depict the oceans of the world in the hotel’s main seafood restaurant.

Baby sharks are being introduced to an artificial reef within the hotel's aqua complex where guests will swim with the fishes, while a dramatic amphitheatre, seating 900, will host world-class entertainment and spectacular light shows.

The rooms and suites of the hotel are laid out in distinct sections. The look-alike Dolmabahce Palace houses the main hotel lobby.

The Anatolian Wing features traditional Ottoman warm colors and gold furnishings, while the European Wing goes for more minimalist designs.

The Garden Suites are located in villa buildings set within a sanctuary of gardens and semi private swimming pools.

UK Visa Application Process Delays

Important advice to customers about UK visa application process delays.

Customers, please note that there are currently significant delays in the UK visa application process. You are advised to apply for your visa well in advance of the intended date of travel.

The delays are due to the high volume of customers making appointments at the visa application centres (please refer to the update of 27 April regarding appointment bookings) and to technical difficulties affecting the UK's global visa operation, which UK Visa Services are working to resolve.

At the moment please allow approximately 7 weeks from the time you make a request for an appointment to collecting your visa decision. UK Visa Services apologies to customers for the inconvenience, and confirm they are working to reduce these delays.

27 April 2009: With immediate effect visa appointments at Gerry's International cannot be cancelled and rebooked.

Gerry's have become aware of unauthorized agent block booking and the subsequent charging of applicants for appointments. This disadvantages genuine applicants who wish to travel to the UK.
